Monster Hunter movie is complete and so far keeps its release date

The world situation caused by COVID-19 has led to the postponement of the premiere and the suspension of production of several films and series. Without going any further, during the last hours Sony changed the date for the debut of several Monster Hunter imdb productions including adaptations of Morbius, Uncharted and the new film of Ghostbusters.

In this scenario, the president of Constantin Film, Martin Moszkowicz, spoke with Deadline about what the future holds for the films and series covered by that company, among which two intriguing titles for video game fans stand out: the new film by Monster Hunter and the Resident Evil series that is in development for Netlix.

Regarding the Monster Hunter movie that will be starring Milla Jovovich, Moszkowicz argued that the movie is complete and until now would continue to point to its previous release date.

The Monster Hunter movie will be directed by Paul W.S. Anderson (Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil) and its premiere would still be set for September 4 in the United States. But of course, the permanence of that plan will depend on the contingency.

On the other hand, despite the fact that during the interview Moszkowicz never directly addressed the state of development of the Resident Evil series, the president of Constantin Film hinted that this and other television projects would be in a kind of limbo due to the suspension of their production.

"We had to completely shut down (production) at more than 30 shows mainly things made in Germany, and in the Czech Republic and Romania," Moszkowicz said.
